This spacious bungalow for our client Mr. Rathod Residence and his family of four, serves as a retreat from frenetic city life- a space that would exude serene glamour and soft femininity. The architectural elements were chosen for their complementing volumes in relation to their function, and establish the different areas within a fluid, open-plan space. In addition to their structural duties, the heights of these deep beams have been precisely adjusted to obtain the optimal balance between openness and enclosure. The form of the house follows a certain kind of a hierarchy that allows the users to segregate the space in a certain manner. The materials used mainly exposed brick and concrete are raw both in terms of aspect and function. The terraces of the house are a pre-dominant feature that envelops the home, served as our on-site inspiration, optimizing views and natural light in all rooms.
